Overview
A growing fintech organization is seeking a Payroll Connections Specialist to enable and optimize payroll integrations for clients. This role is critical in ensuring seamless payroll data integration and overseeing clients' initial 401(k) contributions. The position involves collaboration with Sales Activation, Payroll Partners, Product, Customer Success, and Operations teams to maintain accurate and efficient data flow.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients to establish technical integrations with over 400 payroll providers.
- Develop a deep understanding of payroll provider systems and verify incoming payroll data for accuracy and completeness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting data flow between clients, the organization, and payroll partners.
- Evaluate data discrepancies independently and make appropriate adjustments impacting clients and assets under management.
- Assist in drafting procedures related to payroll information flow, ensuring compliance with SEC, DOL, and IRS regulations.
- Investigate technology issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with various departments to implement solutions.
- Guide clients through data analysis and support their data transmission efforts.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on needs-driven solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead projects that broadly impact the business.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in a professional role demonstrating strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- At least 1 year of dedicated customer service experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with retirement plans or payroll providers and a general understanding of relevant industry regulations.
- Ability to quickly adapt to various HRIS/client systems, troubleshoot software issues, and implement solutions under tight deadlines.
- Strong passion for process improvement and ability to champion change effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality output.
- Advanced proficiency with PC and G-Suite product ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SEC, DOL, and IRS regulations impacting payroll and retirement plans.
- Experience working in a fintech or retirement services environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly base salary range: $28.85 - $30.77, determined by geographic location, skills, and experience.
