Overview

A healthcare information management organization specializing in the secure and compliant exchange of medical data among healthcare providers, payers, and patients is seeking a Payroll Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing all payroll functions to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing for the organization's employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all payroll cycles, averaging approximately 100 pay runs annually.
  • Ensure compliance with wage, tax, and reporting laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll systems and procedures, including timecards, paid holidays, leaves, bonuses, overtime, and military leave.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance departments on payroll-related employee changes.
  • Prepare and file quarterly tax reports and required documentation.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries and manage payroll communications.
  • Handle year-end payroll processes such as W-2s, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Participate in month-end accounting close for payroll-related tasks.
  • Continuously assess and improve payroll procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 3 years in management or supervision.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, specifically ADP Workforce.
  • Experience with ERP accounting software, preferably NetSuite.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to independently manage all payroll tasks, including coordination with payroll providers and third-party administrators.
  • Preferred experience with multi-state payroll processing.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation

  • The pay range and compensation package will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
