Overview
This role involves managing global payroll operations for a workforce management technology organization that supports deskless teams across various industries. The employer serves over 80,000 businesses worldwide and is experiencing rapid expansion.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for employees in the US, Australia, and other international locations through PEO partners
- Update and maintain employee payroll data, including onboarding and terminations
- Verify timesheets, paid time off, overtime, and other payroll data prior to submission
- Oversee payroll withholdings, benefits, and deductions managed by PEOs
- Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Manage transitions between PEO providers, including data migration and validation
- Review payroll reports and year-end tax forms for accuracy
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries using NetSuite
- Address employee payroll and benefits inquiries confidentially
- Develop scalable payroll processes to support global headcount growth
- Stay current on payroll regulations and tax laws across multiple jurisdictions
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in US and international payroll administration, preferably with PEOs
- Experience with major PEO providers such as ADP, Vensure, Insperity, TriNet, or Mazars
- Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations
- Experience managing multi-state payroll and compliance
- Interest or experience in using AI tools for payroll efficiency and data analysis
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll data reconciliation
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Adaptability to fast-paced, global work environments

- Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 annually
