Overview
A company operating in sales, installation, program management, and service sectors is seeking a Payroll Specialist. This organization serves industries including retail, commercial, fleet, aviation, marine, and emergency power generation across the United States. It has 33 offices and distribution centers and employs over 1,400 field service professionals. Services provided include construction, compliance and testing, maintenance and repair, modernization, re-imaging, and electric vehicle charging solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collect timesheet data from employees
- Enter data into administrative databases and payroll software
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation and records
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues
- Perform account balance and payroll reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes
- Generate periodic payroll reports for management review
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll or related experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices
- Experience with accounting and payroll software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective organizational and time management abilities
- High numerical aptitude
