Overview
A payroll services team is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage payroll operations for over 90 client accounts. This role involves ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing excellent client support. The position is fully remote within Eastern Time Zone hours.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 90+ assigned clients accurately and on schedule.
- Review and validate employee data, benefits, deductions, and tax calculations.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Audit payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies before submission.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot system or data issues.
- Prepare client reports and summaries for audits or management review.
- Support quarterly and year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Significant U.S. payroll experience, preferably in a multi-client or service bureau environment.
- Ability to manage a high-volume client portfolio (90+ payrolls).
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Paylocity, ADP, UKG, or Paycom.
- Proficiency in Excel and data reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Clear and confident communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- FPC or CPP certification is preferred but not required.
