Overview
This fully remote position is for a Payroll Specialist responsible for managing payroll processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll and prevailing wage regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Collect timesheet data from employees
- Enter data into administrative databases and payroll software
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation and transaction records
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues
- Perform account balance and payroll reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes
- Generate periodic payroll reports for management review
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll or related experience
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and payroll practices
- Experience with payroll and accounting software; ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
