Overview

This role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of payroll cycles including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and year-end activities. The position requires strong quality control, auditing skills, and proactive issue resolution while collaborating with internal teams and clients to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Process, reconcile, audit, and transmit all payroll cycle components accurately and on time
  • Manage payroll impacting changes, tax forms, payments, and year-end processing for assigned clients
  • Perform quality control and auditing to maintain low error rates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners to resolve payroll matters and employee inquiries
  • Provide payroll support services in accordance with contracts, legislative requirements, and business needs
  • Manage client and consumer tasks within case management systems, ensuring complete and accurate documentation
  • Adhere to and report on service level agreement (SLA) metrics
  • Create and update standard operating procedures and conduct quarterly document reviews
  • Perform administrative functions as required
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Provide training and support to peers and customers as needed
  • Execute minor product configuration updates when applicable
  • Attend and lead customer meetings related to payroll
  • Support client relationship executives with customer requests
  • For Canadian payroll: perform monthly tax remittance reconciliations, apply strong legislative knowledge of garnishments, and validate or enter Records of Employment (ROEs)

Requirements

  • Multi-client payroll processing experience
  • Strong legislative knowledge, especially Canadian payroll regulations
  • Experience with payroll systems such as Dayforce HCM or similar cloud payroll technology
  • Proven ability to maintain quality control and auditing standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with clients and internal teams
  • Flexibility in working hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry-related certifications or willingness to obtain them after employment
  • Experience processing payroll for 2000+ employees
  • End-to-end payroll processing expertise
  • Commitment to continuous learning
