Overview
A full-time remote Payroll Specialist position is available based in Dahlgren, VA. This role involves providing accounting support primarily focused on payroll, with opportunities to expand into broader accounting functions as the organization grows.
Responsibilities
- Monitor timesheets for completeness
- Enter payroll data including hours worked, benefit elections, employee stipends, reimbursements, and verify pay rates and amounts
- Ensure compliance with state unemployment tax filing requirements
- Administer company credit cards: ordering, canceling, tracking activations and fraudulent charges, and assisting employees with training and inquiries
- Assist with corporate-level expense reporting and serve as primary backup for company-wide expense report approvals
- Support audits and provide payroll reports as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Experience with Paylocity payroll platform is required
- Experience working in a remote environment is a plus
- Experience with Unanet is a plus
Other Requirements
- Valid passport with at least 8 months until expiration
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time
- Authorized to telecommute
- Commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment
- U.S. citizenship and possession of a valid state driver's license
