Overview

A payroll services team is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage payroll operations for over 90 client accounts. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing excellent client support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 90+ assigned clients accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and validate employee data, benefits, deductions, and tax information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Audit payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies before submission.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot system or data issues.
  • Prepare client reports and summaries for audits or management review.
  • Support quarterly and year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Significant U.S. payroll experience, preferably in a multi-client or service bureau environment.
  • Comfortable managing a high-volume client portfolio (90+ payrolls).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with payroll systems such as Paylocity, ADP, UKG, or Paycom.
  • Proficient in Excel and data reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Clear and confident communication skills with clients and colleagues.
  • FPC or CPP certification is preferred but not required.
