Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct premium audits with policyholders via phone and email, typically at the end of the policy period
- Review business operations and financial records such as payroll, sales, and cost records
- Verify class codes assigned according to industry and client standards as required by insurance contracts
- Submit audit reports using a web portal and specialized premium auditing software
- Communicate effectively with clients through phone and email
- Examine commercial business payroll and tax records
- Evaluate operational practices
- Adhere to customer requirements and quality standards
- Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets
- Home office setup including reliable internet and a Microsoft-based computer
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills
- Accounting or bookkeeping experience is helpful but not required
