Overview

A finance team within a business-to-business organization is seeking a professional to develop and execute customer-specific pricing strategies aimed at winning new business, retaining customers, and improving profitability. This role involves partnering with various business leaders to analyze performance and provide financial expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies tailored to customers.
  • Prepare pricing proposals, deal profit and loss statements, and commercial terms in accordance with governance guidelines.
  • Analyze customer requests, pricing data, and business trends to identify growth and efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver effective pricing solutions.
  • Ensure accurate pricing implementation within systems and manage pricing workflows through to completion.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes, providing feedback on tools, and suggesting enhancements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in analytical, financial, or business support roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and adherence to processes.
  • Eagerness to learn pricing strategy, tools, and systems.
  • Accountability for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting pricing, bids, or deal analysis in a B2B environment.
  • Exposure to financial modeling, including margin and profit and loss analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or pricing systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel or data visualization skills.
