Overview
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing competitor pricing and market expectations to determine optimal target prices for the organization's products. This role involves providing detailed analytical breakdowns of pricing structures and sales funnels of competitor products and identifying specific pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Pricing Manager, Pricing Analysts, Sales, and RFP teams on quantitative aspects of prospective opportunities.
- Perform client-specific data modeling, analysis, and outcome measurement; develop custom reports as needed.
- Improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for key service metrics.
- Develop pricing for client renewals, including P&L modeling and overseeing contract execution.
- Provide financial support for contract negotiations and respond to RFP financial requests.
- Participate in ad-hoc departmental and company projects.
- Work with Sales and Account Management to create pricing and product positioning strategies.
- Support functional and organizational initiatives as required.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of analytical experience in a work environment or equivalent college project experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
- Experience in Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry preferred.
- High proficiency in Excel, including detailed experience with Lookup and Logic formulas.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Skills in performing detailed and complex numerical computations and reporting.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling.
- Advanced attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in SQL or Tableau is preferred.
Work Environment
This position is based in a typical office setting requiring prolonged sitting and use of standard office equipment such as computers and phones. The role may involve occasional high-stress situations when interacting with customers or clients. Some travel may be required.
