Overview
A remote position is available within a government accounting team supporting aerospace and defense operations. This role requires U.S. citizenship due to program access restrictions. No security clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze cost impacts and cost accounting changes
- Develop and analyze data for annual Incurred Cost Proposals
- Formulate and prepare formal audit responses to government audit agencies (DCAA/DCMA)
- Serve as liaison to DCAA/DCMA, responding to inquiries and audits
- Prepare and submit Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) Disclosure Statements
- Provide guidance on disclosed practices, policies, procedures, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Support compliance efforts for the organization and its segments/reporting units
- Prepare and present the annual CAS Testing Plan to leadership
- Provide guidance on compliant costing including Non-Billable Items (NBI), Support Labor, Ethics, and Material
- Review requests for Special Burden Material determinations
- Coordinate with process owners for Support Allocation/Labor Pool compliance and audit requests
- Ensure timely updates for Booking and Billing Indirect Rates
- Collaborate across the enterprise to align FAR/CAS interpretations, identify best practices, and support corporate metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or related business role; or advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience
- Proficient user of SAP, Analysis for Office, MS Excel, or similar financial systems
- U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
- Understanding of complex business data, processes, rate modeling, and master data impact on rate application
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 30 and 31, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), CASB, and Incurred Cost Proposal
- Ability to synthesize large data sets and summarize findings for leadership review
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $86,800 to $165,200 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications

- Potential eligibility for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs based on performance and position level
Location
- This is a remote position based in the United States; candidates must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories)
- Occasional travel to site locations may be required
