Overview
This role reports to the Head of Corporate/M&A Practice within the Corporate/M&A department. It is a 100% remote position requiring working hours aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
The organization is a full-service law firm specializing in complex corporate, litigation, executive compensation, and private wealth matters. The firm emphasizes both economic and legal aspects in its work, serving founders, senior executives, ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and their related businesses.
Responsibilities
- Integrate AI-assisted workflows to improve speed, depth, and accuracy of analysis.
- Analyze and model complex business transactions, executive compensation, structural, and financial arrangements to uncover economic logic and value drivers.
- Map ownership, incentive, and value-distribution structures across multiple scenarios.
- Stress-test assumptions to identify economic sensitivities and hidden risks.
- Build and refine analytical models and frameworks for live client matters.
- Contribute to the development of AI-enabled analytical practices within the firm.
Success Criteria
- Analysis directly informs structuring decisions, negotiations, and risk assessments.
- Demonstrates strong judgment in distinguishing relevant information from noise in complex materials.
- Effectively integrates AI tools to enhance reasoning without replacing it.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Finance, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Expertise in using AI tools professionally for data modeling and analysis.
- Ability to operate independently in a remote, high-performance environment.
- Strong judgment skills.
- Prior experience in law is not required.
