Overview
This role involves tutoring students nationally in QuickBooks using a live online learning platform. Tutors have the flexibility to set their own schedules, earn competitive pay rates, and work remotely from home.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions focused on QuickBooks Online and Desktop for small business accounting.
- Teach concepts including chart of accounts setup, invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, payroll processing, financial reporting, sales tax management, and vendor management.
- Explain double-entry accounting, report customization, and year-end procedures.
- Guide students through creating company files, recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and generating financial reports.
- Adapt instruction to different learning styles and student needs using sample company files, guided exercises, and real-world scenarios.
- Use the platform's AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support and lesson generation.
- Accept on-demand tutoring requests as available.
Requirements
- Advanced mastery of QuickBooks Online and Desktop, with strong knowledge of small business bookkeeping and accounting.
- Ability to teach QuickBooks setup, daily workflows, and financial report generation effectively.
- Familiarity with common QuickBooks training curricula and challenges.
- Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
- Ability to identify and address concepts students commonly struggle with using multiple teaching approaches.
Compensation & Benefits
- Earn up to $40 per hour, with incremental pay increases for repeat sessions with the same student.

Location
- This is a remote position available nationally, except for residents of Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico, where contracting is not available.
