Overview
This role involves tutoring students nationally in QuickBooks using an online live learning platform. Tutors have the flexibility to set their own schedules, work remotely, and earn competitive pay rates while helping students improve their understanding of QuickBooks for small business accounting.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one online tutoring sessions focused on QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
- Teach concepts including chart of accounts setup, invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, payroll processing, financial reporting, sales tax management, and vendor management.
- Explain double-entry accounting within QuickBooks, report customization, and year-end procedures.
- Guide students through creating company files, recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and generating financial reports.
- Adapt instruction to individual student learning styles and needs.
- Use sample company files, guided exercises, and real-world scenarios to enhance learning.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to support lesson generation and engagement during sessions.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Desktop for small business accounting.
- Ability to teach QuickBooks setup, daily bookkeeping workflows, and financial report generation.
- Familiarity with common challenges in QuickBooks training such as account categorization and bank reconciliation errors.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and engaging teaching style.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing students for small business bookkeeping and accounting roles.
- Understanding of the relationship between QuickBooks entries and financial statements.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks training curricula.
Compensation & Benefits
- Earn up to $40 per hour, with incremental pay increases for repeat sessions with the same student.

Location
- This is a remote position available nationally except for residents of Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico, where contracting is not available.
