Overview
This role involves tutoring students nationally in QuickBooks through a live online learning platform. Tutors have the flexibility to set their own schedules, earn competitive rates, and support students' understanding and academic success from home.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions in QuickBooks.
- Accept on-demand tutoring requests as available.
- Use the platform's AI-powered tools to enhance instructional support, generate lessons, and engage students.
- Guide students through QuickBooks Online and Desktop features including chart of accounts setup, invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, payroll processing, financial reporting, sales tax management, and vendor management.
- Teach double-entry accounting concepts, report customization, year-end procedures, and bookkeeping best practices.
- Adapt instruction to different learning styles and student needs using sample company files, guided exercises, and real-world scenarios.
- Identify common student challenges and explain concepts using multiple approaches.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Desktop for small business accounting.
- Experience teaching QuickBooks setup, daily bookkeeping workflows, and financial report generation.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks training curricula and common student challenges.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and engaging teaching style.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student learning styles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Earn up to $40 per hour, with incremental pay increases for repeat sessions with the same student.
- Receive payments up to twice per week.
- Set your own hours and tutor as much as desired.
- Work remotely with no commuting required.
- The platform handles session logistics and payments; tutors invoice for completed sessions.
Location
- This is a remote position available nationally except for residents of Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico, where contracting is not available.
