RCM / Collections Specialist / Medical Biller - Remote - Pacific Time Zone

Overview

This opportunity is with an employer in the Home Infusion Services industry. The role involves supporting billing and reimbursement processes related to healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Submit timely and accurate invoices to payers for services and products provided
• Evaluate and apply payments received accurately to patient accounts
• Follow up on submitted invoices to ensure prompt payment and address any denials
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, guidelines, and HIPAA regulations
• Assist with billing and collection training
• Handle "second level" appeals to payers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0 to 6 months of previous experience in infusion reimbursement or intake/admissions
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Must currently reside in the Pacific Time Zone

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare-related billing or reimbursement role
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and compliance practices
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of home infusion services and related reimbursement processes
