Overview

This role is responsible for preparing and filing state and federal regulatory compliance submissions, supporting ongoing compliance activities, and assisting with related audit and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • File monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory compliance reports for the organization and related legal entities.
  • Timely and accurately submit state and federal regulatory reports.
  • Coordinate responses to data requests.
  • Seek and manage approvals as needed.
  • Support commission inquiries and prepare required ILEC/CLEC/IXC reports.
  • Coordinate AP-related activities.
  • Support state U.S. payment processing and maintain regulatory reports, logs, and databases.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects that arise throughout the year.
  • Maintain regulatory report files and tracking databases.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with internal departments, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage regulatory audits.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree with concentration in telecommunications or accounting (accounting preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial reporting role.
  • Accounting and financial analysis skills.
  • Accounts payable experience desired.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Research skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Concentration in telecommunications or accounting.
  • Accounts payable experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting compensation range: $50,000 to $74,500.

Actual base pay will depend on the candidate’s primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience.

Location

Base pay depends on the candidate’s primary work location.
