Overview

This role supports regulatory compliance by preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual filings. The position also assists the regulatory compliance team with data-request responses, approvals, commission inquiries, and maintaining regulatory reporting records, logs, and databases.

Responsibilities

  • File state and federal regulatory reports for the organization and related legal entities accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate responses to data requests.
  • Seek required approvals.
  • Support commission inquiries.
  • Prepare and manage various ILEC/CLEC/IXC reports.
  • Support AP-related coordination.
  • Assist with state US payment processing and maintenance of regulatory reports.
  • Maintain regulatory report files and tracking databases.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with internal departments, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage regulatory audits.
  • Assist with ad hoc compliance-related projects as they arise.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree with concentration in telecommunications or accounting preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial reporting role.
  • Accounting and financial analysis skills.
  • Accounts Payable experience desired.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Research skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting compensation range: $50,000 to $74,500.

Base pay will depend on the candidate’s primary work location and other factors, including relevant skills and experience.

Location

Compensation depends on the candidate’s primary work location.
