Overview

A global leader in relocation management and moving services is seeking a Relocation Tax Specialist I. The organization supports HR and mobility professionals worldwide by managing the logistical and financial complexities of talent relocation, including household goods movement, home sales, and commercial storage. They leverage advanced technology and a global supply chain to ensure smooth employee transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate tax gross-ups and determine taxability for various relocation expenses, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
  • Lead year-end payroll tax reconciliations and provide timely reports for U.S.-based clients.
  • Manage global payroll data reporting in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Audit financial reports and payroll submissions for accuracy and clarity.
  • Handle client-specific reporting requirements to maintain financial transparency.
  • Respond to complex financial reporting queries from clients, associates, and transferees.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop and maintain client-specific system interfaces.
  • Support onboarding of new clients into the expense management system.
  • Partner with management to implement automation and standardize invoicing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial role; experience with U.S. or global payroll is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial and auditing principles, including taxability concepts related to relocation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage strict deadlines and high-volume data in a team environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality service to clients and relocating employees.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $52,000 – $60,000 annually.
