The organization operates in the AI-native skills management industry, focusing on closing critical skill gaps in the evolving human and AI workforce. The team unifies learning, real-time skills intelligence, and workforce insights to help enterprises build effective combined human and AI teams.
The role of Revenue Accountant supports accurate revenue recognition and reporting in a technology-driven environment, aligned with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606. You will manage revenue and royalty accounting functions, strengthening controls and contributing to financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and applicable accounting policies.
- Review contracts and agreements to identify revenue accounting considerations.
- Prepare and maintain revenue schedules for multiple revenue streams, including SaaS subscriptions and professional services.
- Support monthly revenue reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Manage royalty and reseller partner reporting and payments according to contract terms.
- Calculate royalty revenue and minimum fees, as applicable.
- Monitor and follow up on royalty and reseller reporting completeness.
- Maintain documentation supporting revenue and royalty accounting conclusions.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve contract and accounting issues.
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation.
- Support SOX controls related to revenue and royalty accounting.
- Maintain accurate data in revenue, billing, and ERP systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and reporting.
- Support special projects related to revenue recognition and process automation.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, including relevant internships or co-op, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions.
- Ability to review and interpret contracts, pricing, and financial data.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort with large data sets and identifying variances.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Compensation & Benefits
- Target base salary range: approximately $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
