Overview
This role collects, analyzes, monitors, and reports on the organization’s financial matters while managing compliance with financial policies, professional standards, and all applicable laws. Responsibilities cover general accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, expense reimbursement, and revenue accounting (including accounts receivable).
Responsibilities
- Perform revenue accounting functions related to posting payments received, including:
- Contacting delinquent customers via phone to secure payment
- Assisting with printing and mailing statements
- Reviewing account histories with customers
- Posting payments and managing adjustments to ensure efficiency, time, and accuracy for control and accountability
- Complete monthly account reconciliations and journal entries, including general ledger accounts related to the revenue accounting (accounts receivable) process
- Provide a wide range of support functions to assist departmental processes
- Follow clearly defined procedures to complete daily tasks and responsibilities
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems without the consistent need to exercise discretion
- Use basic communication skills to address internal and/or external clients and/or team members
- Work as an individual contributor under direct supervision with little autonomy
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred
- Typically requires 0–2 years of related work experience
