Overview
This role involves managing the revenue cycle to promote a healthy Accounts Receivable (A/R) for clients by partnering with operational teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution of outstanding A/R. The Revenue Cycle Manager analyzes, audits, and investigates assigned clients’ A/R processes to ensure quality and provide strategic, optimized solutions. The position oversees daily activities for assigned clients, providing guidance and oversight to operational teams to deliver exceptional service. Typically, this role supports clients on a specific platform across multiple specialties and offers specialty subject matter expertise on the entire revenue cycle management process to ensure return on investment and enable continued client success and growth.
Responsibilities
- Monitor A/R for all assigned clients, identifying areas for improvement relevant to the client’s specialty and platform
- Communicate any concerns regarding the client’s responsibilities in the revenue cycle management process
- Be accountable for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned clients
- Identify trends affecting client A/R and collaborate with operational teams to implement corrective action plans
- Pursue continuing education on applicable software, hardware, payment trends, coding changes, and payer requirements
- Participate in departmental and other meetings as requested
- Manage necessary client communications and ensure timely escalation and resolution of client issues
- Communicate client issues, including enhancement requests, bugs, errors, and inquiries, to internal stakeholders
- Build, collaborate, and maintain strategic relationships with external and internal clients
- Regularly share strategic service and product roadmaps with clients
- Conduct analysis and deliver meaningful metrics to support client success
- Strengthen client knowledge on industry best practices, compliance, and adherence to government and insurance payor policies
- Develop a reputation as an industry expert and trusted advisor on revenue cycle and practice management processes for assigned specialty areas
- Partner with cross-functional departments to understand business needs impacting client success and revenue services
- Oversee a minimum of $750,000 in annual recurring revenue
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in medical billing or equivalent combination of education, training, and healthcare experience
- Experience using medical billing software required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in medical billing or equivalent combination of education, training, and healthcare experience
- Leadership experience in revenue services
- Comprehensive understanding of revenue services best practices and workflows
- AAPC – CPB Certification or certification eligible
- Oversight of at least $1 million in annual recurring revenue
- Ability to assist with creating procedures and process documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Ability to motivate, encourage, and collaborate effectively with teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types
- Ability to drive client satisfaction and retention
- Ability to clearly articulate business needs and solutions to advocate internally and externally

Location
This position is primarily remote. However, candidates residing within a 26-mile radius of the corporate office will be required to work in a hybrid capacity, splitting time between on-site work at the corporate office and remote work. The corporate office is located at 4301 Boy Scout Blvd, Tampa, FL 33607. Applicants should consider their proximity to this location when applying.
