Overview

A healthcare technology organization is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join their growing team remotely. This role involves acting as a professional representative of the organization and managing various aspects of the revenue cycle, including documentation review, billing, and client communication. The position reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls and emails from clients, insurance companies, and patients.
  • Document all communications accurately and expediently.
  • Review patient documentation for accuracy and medical necessity.
  • Approve and create sales orders for shipments; ensure sales orders are accurate.
  • Manage shipments by sending sales orders when ready for delivery.
  • Review sales orders post-shipment and create claims and/or invoices by confirming sales orders.
  • Bill claims and/or invoices via electronic submission, paper, or credit card charging.
  • Monitor and update patient billing information as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to identify risks and develop solutions for performance improvement.
  • Review sales order reports and complete reports as required by management.
  • Support new and emerging business models.
  • Adhere to company goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the productivity of the Claims Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) accounts receivable billing experience; Medicare experience is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of Brightree and Salesforce software is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to plan, organize, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $105,000, market-driven.
  • Robust benefits package aligned with overall compensation philosophy.
