Overview

This role involves managing credit risk analytics to support the execution, maintenance, and enhancement of analytical models within a banking environment. The position focuses on complex data gathering, advanced quantitative analysis, and preparation of loss forecasts and risk management reports. The manager will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive risk assessments, challenge strategies, and inform risk and strategy proposals. The role includes mentoring junior analysts and leading key initiatives in risk analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced analytical skills to assess risks and opportunities across multiple consumer portfolios and translate results into strategic solutions.
  • Develop and improve complex analytical frameworks, information, and insights to support bank strategies across lines of defense.
  • Conduct advanced quantitative analysis using extensive internal and external data sources.
  • Build and assist in maintaining effective risk management frameworks to identify, measure, or mitigate risk.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive risk reporting for management and committee oversight of existing and emerging risks.
  • Challenge credit, product, and risk proposals through detailed research and vetting, leveraging banking product, regulatory, and industry knowledge.
  • Develop and/or execute complex financial risk sensitivity analyses.
  • Support implementation of credit and/or financial modeling infrastructure.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years of experience in an analytical field or risk management execution, analytics, or risk assessments; OR 2 years with an advanced degree in a quantitative, scientific, engineering, business, or technical field.
  • Experience with data, coding, or reporting tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical insights to various stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills using diverse data.
  • Proven ability to drive results through collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military experience or status as a military spouse/domestic partner.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience querying, manipulating, and analyzing large and complex datasets.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies and advanced analytical techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $103,450 - $197,730.
  • Compensation is based on experience and market data and may vary by location.
  • Eligibility for pay incentives based on corporate and individual performance.

  • This position requires being in the office 4 days per week.
