Overview
A long-term contract opportunity is available for an experienced SAP US & Canada Payroll, Tax & Benefits Consultant to support and enhance SAP HCM / SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) environments. This remote role requires strong functional and configuration expertise in US and Canadian payroll, payroll taxation, benefits administration, and payroll integrations.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and support SAP Payroll (PY) for US and Canada
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing including payroll runs, off-cycle payrolls, retro calculations, payroll posting, and tax reconciliation
- Configure and support wage types, schemas, PCRs, tax models, garnishments, and benefits deductions
- Ensure US and Canada payroll tax compliance, including federal, state, and provincial taxes, W-2/W-2c, T4 processing, and year-end activities
- Collaborate with third-party vendors such as BSI Tax Factory, ADP, benefits providers, and time systems
- Handle payroll integrations, interfaces, IDocs, APIs, and payroll posting to Finance (FI)
- Support Benefits (BN) configuration including eligibility, enrollment, deductions, and employer contributions
- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production support
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and technical teams
- Support SAP upgrades, support packs, legal changes, and payroll compliance updates
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of SAP HCM / SAP Payroll experience
- Strong expertise in US Payroll, Canada Payroll, Payroll Taxation, and Benefits Administration
- Hands-on experience with schemas, PCRs, wage types, infotypes, payroll posting, and garnishments
- Experience with SAP HCM ECC and/or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
- Knowledge of BSI Tax Factory and payroll tax updates
- Experience integrating payroll with third-party tax and benefits vendors
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of payroll compliance and year-end processing
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP SuccessFactors ECP Certification
- Experience with SAP CPI integrations
- Experience with Payroll Control Center (PCC)
- Exposure to Time Management and Benefits modules
- SAP S/4HANA Payroll experience
- Experience in multi-country payroll implementations
