Overview
This role involves reviewing balance sheets and income statements, investigating general ledger variances, participating in month-end close processes, reconciling accounts, managing accruals, acting as a liaison between Financial and Servicing Operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, and completing audit requests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain recurring reports and ad-hoc queries to support business needs
- Translate technical data findings into clear, actionable reports for non-technical stakeholders
- Resolve moderate to complex reconciliation exceptions
- Prepare, analyze, coordinate, and review regulatory reporting
- Document new departmental procedures and update existing ones
- Complete audit requests
- Participate in testing of corporate and departmental projects; communicate risks, issues, or defects
- Support monitoring and testing of internal controls, including quality reviews for moderate to complex departmental functions and GRC testing
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in current functions
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to develop and create complex calculations in workbooks
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Audit preferred
- Understanding and interpreting both manual and subsystem entries
- Experience managing accruals, amortizations, and identifying inconsistencies
- Ability to ensure financial statements align with accounting standards
- Experience completing audit requests and maintaining documentation
- Investigate causes of fluctuations in financial data
- Use data to support strategic decisions
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Workday
- Experience with BlackLine or similar reconciliation software
- Proficiency with Excel features including macros, pivot tables, and formulas
- Ability to bridge Financial and Servicing Operations
- Strong communication skills tailored to different stakeholders
- Experience presenting findings and driving decisions
- Ability to coach junior staff and foster accountability
- Experience working alongside AI and RPA tools, especially in client-facing or sensitive scenarios

Work Location
- Hybrid work arrangement with 3+ days in office
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $69,000 - $105,000 annually, placement within range depends on skills, experience, and geographic location
- Eligibility for incentive compensation including production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives
