Contract role for a Senior Accountant Expert supporting a customer project focused on training next-generation AI systems. Work is remote and US-based.
Responsibilities
Review, evaluate, and annotate financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness based on established accounting standards.
Assess and critique audit procedures, identifying gaps, best practices, and regulatory considerations across business scenarios.
Create and assess financial models for logical structure, accuracy, and actionable insights.
Analyze and provide feedback on tax compliance practices and documentation, highlighting risks and compliance issues.
Review legal and financial documents and provide detailed feedback on clarity, correctness, and regulatory alignment.
Deliver clear and constructive written and verbal feedback on project materials to cross-functional teams.
Support the development and evaluation of datasets for AI training using experience with human data processes such as data labeling, annotation, or model evaluation.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
In-depth expertise in economics, accounting, law, government regulations, and taxation.
Substantial experience preparing and auditing financial statements.
Strong understanding of cost accounting and budgetary controls.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical subject matter.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Currently or previously held a role such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Cost Accountant, Financial Auditor, General Accountant, Internal Auditor, or Revenue Tax Specialist.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, financial statement auditing, and audit procedures.
Experience providing written and verbal feedback on technical materials.
Experience supporting human data processes such as data labeling, annotation, or model evaluation.
Compensation & Benefits
$60–$120 per hour (contract)
