Overview

Contract role (Remote Contractor). This position is for a US-based remote engagement.

This role contributes specialized accounting and financial expertise to a customer project focused on training next-generation AI systems. You will review and evaluate financial reports, audit procedures, financial models, tax compliance practices, and legal and financial documents, and provide detailed feedback to support AI training data development.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and annotate financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness based on established accounting standards.
• Assess and critique audit procedures, identifying gaps, best practices, and regulatory considerations across business scenarios.
• Create and assess financial models for logical structure, accuracy, and actionable insights.
• Analyze and provide feedback on tax compliance practices and documentation, highlighting risks and compliance issues.
• Review legal and financial documents and provide detailed feedback on clarity, correctness, and regulatory alignment.
• Deliver clear and constructive written and verbal feedback on project materials to cross-functional teams.
• Support development and evaluation of datasets for AI training using experience with human data processes such as data labeling, annotation, or model evaluation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• In-depth expertise in economics, accounting, law, government regulations, and taxation.
• Substantial experience preparing and auditing financial statements.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and budgetary controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical subject matter.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Currently or previously held a role such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Cost Accountant, Financial Auditor, General Accountant, Internal Auditor, or Revenue Tax Specialist.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: USD 60–120 per hour.
