Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting & Consolidations

Overview

This role supports the month-end close and global consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, analytics, and SOX compliance documentation. The position also participates in maintenance and reporting activities for consolidation tooling and helps respond to recurring public reporting and earnings-release requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform key activities within the month-end close process to produce and timely consolidate balance sheets and income statement
• Prepare and record monthly elimination journal entries
• Perform global intercompany elimination processes and ensure SOX compliance requirements and documentation are met and kept up to date
• Monitor global intercompany accounts and partner with multinational finance teams to resolve intercompany out-of-balance conditions
• Prepare and document analytics for certain group and region monthly data; work with regional finance teams to resolve reporting issues as necessary
• Serve as a stakeholder in OneStream maintenance, including changes in accounts, entity reporting hierarchies, consolidation mappings, foreign currency exchange rates, and related activities
• Support the team for various 10-Q/K and earnings release requirements
• Assist with and participate in ongoing reporting transformation initiatives
• Participate in monthly pre-close conference calls with regional teams
• Complete various PBC for audit
• Prepare various monthly/quarterly rollforwards

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of consolidation accounting and the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Understanding of intercompany accounting, eliminations, foreign currency matters, and multi-entity consolidations
• Strong understanding of financial statements and U.S. GAAP
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex accounting and reporting issues
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with consolidation and financial reporting systems; OneStream experience is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced financial close environment
• Public company, financial reporting and/or SOX experience preferred
• Experience working in a multi-entity or global organization strongly preferred
• Minimum of seven (5) years of previous experience in consolidation accounting and month-end close
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
