Overview
This role supports financial reporting and accounting activities, including quarterly and annual SEC reporting. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the Senior Accountant will help prepare SEC filings (including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K), maintain disclosure workpapers and checklists, support month-end and quarter-end close activities, execute internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements, and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and support quarterly and annual SEC reporting, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K financial statements, footnotes, supporting schedules, and related reporting packages.
- Perform detailed tie-outs of financial statements and disclosures to the general ledger, supporting workpapers, and source documentation; prepare quarterly SEC and US GAAP disclosure checklists.
- Prepare and maintain financial reporting workpapers for assigned areas, including statements of cash flows, earnings per share, stock-based compensation, equity, leases, and other reporting matters.
- Assist with technical accounting research and the preparation of accounting analyses and memoranda for new transactions, contracts, and accounting standards.
- Monitor new FASB guidance and evaluate potential impacts to accounting and financial reporting.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, consolidation-related schedules, flux analysis, and other analytical procedures.
- Execute internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements and maintain complete and organized supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors by preparing requested schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit inquiries.
- Support equity accounting and reporting, including stock-based compensation and other equity transactions, and assist with annual and interim accounting assessments such as impairment analyses and other recurring technical accounting matters.
- Partner with accounting, finance, legal, payroll, equity administration, and other cross-functional teams to obtain information required for accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, workpapers, and controls to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Three to five years including recent public accounting experience with focus on SEC registrants.
- Strong familiarity with ASC literature; proven ability to research technical accounting topics.
- Proven project management experience.
- Active CPA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 audit experience.
- Master’s degree in accountancy.
- Fast growth startup or public company experience.
- Preferred remote location: U.S. Mountain or Central time zones.

Location & Travel Requirements
- Remote employees are required to travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter annually based on business or team needs, including attendance at team meetings, off-sites, and other company events or gatherings.
- For the first two weeks of onboarding, employees are required to be in person at headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
