Overview
This role is for a detail-oriented accountant focused on accurate and reliable financial operations. The organization offers a patient journey application used by over 3 million users nationally and internationally, with strong growth across multiple medical markets. The position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity, handling day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes, overseeing revenue operations, and performing financial data analysis. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients is also part of the role.
This is a fully remote position reporting to the Director of FP&A. Candidates must reside in the United States and have legal authorization to work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Execute month-end accounting close processes timely, ensuring compliance with GAAP, revenue recognition standards, and applicable laws and regulations
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting decks; provide ad-hoc reports and insights to support decision-making
- Generate and review monthly customer invoices for accuracy and timely delivery
- Manage revenue operations through internal systems, including ticket triage and issue resolution
- Respond to customer and internal billing inquiries via shared inboxes
- Maintain and analyze recurring billing reports to ensure revenue accuracy and visibility
- Process accounts payable using Brex and manage bank feed transactions
- Support month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with external firms to support domestic and foreign income tax filings and compliance
- Continuously improve related processes and serve as system owner for relevant financial systems
Requirements
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, revenue operations, or public accounting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Sheets
- CPA eligible or some CPA exams passed preferred; active CPA is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and proficiency in SQL
- Experience in SaaS or healthcare industries
- Experience with Big Four public accounting firms
- Experience migrating from QuickBooks to another ERP system
- Prior experience working remotely with distributed teams
