Overview
A growing AI company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to shape revenue-to-cash processes in a high-growth environment, working closely with Sales, Finance, and HR teams to support and scale accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Execute period-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and relevant working papers
- Partner with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate setup in the accounts payable platform
- Manage vendor bills to ensure proper accounting, review, and payment in accordance with policies
- Review customer contracts to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and proper application of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- Facilitate adoption of new accounting policies and updates to existing policies
- Prepare financial statements and other records in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Lead optimization of existing processes and procedures within the accounting team
- Facilitate payroll processing for the company and subsidiaries
- Support cross-functional teams to optimize operating activities and facilitate strong information flow
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or auditing
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles (U.S. GAAP)
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to independently plan, execute, and deliver projects in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an auditor at a Big 4 public accounting firm
- Experience with financial statement audits
- Experience with IPO processes
- Experience with internal controls
- Active CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $100,000–$110,000, with equity offers
