Overview
A leading AI organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their General Ledger team. This full-time role supports comprehensive accounting processes and projects within a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment focused on cutting-edge language models and AI systems. The position offers hybrid and remote work options across multiple locations including San Francisco, New York, Toronto, and fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and audit preparation activities
- Assist with accounting system implementations and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable accounting processes
- Partner with external auditors and coordinate audit procedures
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for accounting infrastructure and reporting
- Lead special projects focused on process optimization and automation
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility
- Background in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or strong operational experience at a high-growth technology startup
- Experience with system implementations and process improvements
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform complex reconciliations
- Proactive, solutions-oriented problem-solving approach
- Desire to build and scale accounting processes in a fast-paced technology environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in dynamic, high-growth technology or AI-focused companies
- Familiarity with audit coordination and compliance requirements
