Overview
This position supports Finance & Accounting activities within a defined focus area with minimal management oversight and a high degree of independence. Work includes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, account reconciliations and analysis, process management and improvement, and ad-hoc assignments in support of the Director Finance & Accounting or VP Finance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring transactions comply with GAAP, JSOX, and internal policies and procedures
- Prepare monthly journal entries and related support according to the communicated closing schedule
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analysis
- Assist with analyzing financial statements and provide recommendations to improve business performance or efficiency
- Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audit requirements as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally to manage and continuously improve financial, business, and internal control processes
- Perform ad-hoc assignments and special project work for the Director Finance & Accounting or the VP Finance
- Comply with applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements, and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 6+ years of Finance & Accounting experience
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong organization and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent MS Excel skills; SAP experience preferred
- Must be flexible to work late hours if needed

- Ability to sit 75–100% of applicable work time
- Ability to use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time
- Ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time
- Ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time
- Close vision: ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less
Travel
- Occasional travel up to 25% may be required based on business need
