Overview

This Senior Accountant position is responsible for managing revenue recognition and daily billing operations for both new and existing services. The role involves significant collaboration across departments including Receivables, Sales Operations, Legal, and Finance.

The position supports automation initiatives to improve the consistency, timeliness, and accuracy of invoicing and reporting. Experience with profit and loss (P&L) management, particularly related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), is important.

This is a remote role requiring availability Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm, with additional hours during month-end close periods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support month-end and quarter-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and record revenue-related journal entries based on detailed transaction analysis and supporting data
  • Reconcile sub-ledger activity to general ledger balances; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze income statement and budget-to-actual variances
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support audits and ensure compliance with public company reporting requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Financial Operations, Internal Audit, and Legal teams to support financial reporting and operational initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3 to 6 years of progressive accounting or billing operations experience, preferably in SaaS or technology environments
  • Public accounting and/or U.S. technical accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting processes
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion Cloud and CRM platforms like Salesforce is a plus
