Overview

This role involves performing general accounting functions and various analyses using GAAP procedures, including managing the general ledger, balance sheet, income statement accounts, ledger reconciliation, preparation of journal entries, and financial statements. All duties must comply with company policies and procedures as well as applicable US state and federal laws and regulations.

The target pay range for this position is $36.00-$46.00 per hour plus an annual bonus. Compensation is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and record bank activities in the general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, including accounts receivable, prepaids, accruals, and other liability accounts.
  • Review, reconcile, and record bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll activities.
  • Manage internal and external wire transfers.
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts for fluctuations at month-end close to ensure results comply with US GAAP.
  • Prepare, report, and maintain unclaimed property escheatment.
  • Prepare, report, and maintain fixed assets accounting.
  • Prepare year-end business property tax filings.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end audits.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls and established company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary to resolve issues.
  • Maintain consistent attendance to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Fixed Assets and Business Property Taxes is required.
  • Three to five years of general accounting/finance and general ledger experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP accounting software is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must work Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone hours.
  • Preference for candidates residing on the West Coast.

Location

Remote work with required overlap during Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone hours. Preference given to candidates living on the West Coast.
