Senior Associate, Client Accounting Services

Overview

A Senior Associate position is available within the Client Accounting Services (CAS) department. This is a remote role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accounting functions and programs
• Prepare financial work papers and reports
• Assist with monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling financial accounts and Accounts Payable
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts as required
• Prepare annual compliance reports such as 1099s and City Tax
• Prepare financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, General Ledger, Trial Balance, and other ad hoc reports
• Coordinate financial statement preparation and supporting documents for annual tax preparation and quarterly extension payments
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and non-compliance issues by communicating with management, clients, and third parties
• Contribute to developing new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
• Perform other accounting research, duties, and support staff as required

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, and/or bookkeeping
• Ability to track and understand partnership investments
• Ability to understand and accurately record brokerage transactions
• Strong understanding of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and financial analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com, and Gusto
• Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/OCBOA) and annual tax compliance
• Ability to train and manage staff
• Public accounting experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary target: $75,000 - $95,000, determined by market demand, education, experience, and skill set
