Overview
This opportunity is with a premier employer in the financial services industry seeking a Credit Strategy Analyst to develop and refine credit strategies for personal loans. The role involves data-driven decision making to optimize underwriting and loan amounts, as well as collaboration across teams to drive growth and improve conversion rates.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, refine, and develop credit strategies for personal loans, including underwriting and loan amount decisions
- Design and oversee champion/challenger tests to evaluate and inform credit strategies
- Conduct scenario analysis and develop financial impact sizing for new strategy test cases
- Perform ad-hoc analytics, generate reports, and prepare presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall growth and improve conversion rates across all channels
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar analytical role
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, or other quantitative field; Master's degree is a plus
- Experience in the financial industry with a focus on credit risk; knowledge of online lending or sub-prime lending is advantageous
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, SQL, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data using statistical techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring
