Overview
Location: 127 Public Square, Cleveland Ohio
This role supports the Commercial Bank’s financial performance and strategic market expansion. It requires strong partnership and communication skills, as the position works closely with senior leadership across the Line of Business and Finance. The role also requires strong analytical capabilities, an enterprise mindset, and robust knowledge of financial and profitability concepts.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Regional Sales Executives in the Commercial Bank, providing financial and strategic support
- Produce monthly/quarterly reporting that analyzes financial results, performance against targets, and progress toward strategic initiatives
- Own short- and long-term forecasting processes
- Develop or enhance driver-based forecast models for the Commercial Bank loan portfolio and associated fees
- Build full-funnel reporting for new markets performance and profitability
- Conduct ad hoc analyses on market performance, including post-mortem analyses
- Present to senior leadership on a quarterly or monthly basis, translating business driver trends into forward-looking risks and opportunities
- Complete required external and regulatory reports as needed
- Provide research on miscellaneous items and complete additional ad hoc analysis as necessary
- Develop strong working relationships with business unit leadership, peers, and partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting or related field)
- 4+ years of diverse analytical experience in Finance, preferably with exposure to banking
- Organized self-starter able to think and work independently and creatively
- Strong financial and/or accounting acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish effective working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
- Proven team player who assists others as needed to meet group deadlines and quality standards
- Detail oriented with the ability to analyze and resolve issues with limited direction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization applications (Tableau)
- Experience with financial management software applications (Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, Essbase)
- Experience with SQL and Google Big Query
- Commercial Banking experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually
- Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location
- Eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives
