Overview
This role is part of Finance responsible for strategic resource allocation and day-to-day financial operations supporting the Core Services portfolio.
The organization’s Core Services group brings together functions including Legal, People, Data Science, Trust & Safety / Customer Experience, Strategy, IT, Cloud Engineering & Ecosystems, and Security.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Core Services forecast each cycle, including building and loading cost center detail in Pigment, validating inputs, reconciling against the prior cycle, and documenting changes and drivers.
- Assemble the monthly budget update, including variance to plan, drivers, and open items for budget owners and the COO.
- Partner with Accounting through monthly close by tying out actuals, accruals, and forecast, and resolving coding and timing issues at the source.
- Maintain headcount tracking, including position-level tracking and the headcount-to-plan bridge; coordinate with People and hiring managers on start dates and backfill assumptions.
- Track vendor and cloud spend by monitoring POs, commitments, renewals, and run-rate changes; incorporate cloud cost information from Cloud Engineering into Core Services and consolidated reporting and review for anomalies and initial questions.
- Apply AI and automation to recurring work by identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort across the forecast, close, and reporting cycle; experiment with tools and share results.
- Support Core Services teams day to day by fielding data and reporting questions and escalating items requiring partnership discussions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in business unit FP&A, corporate FP&A, strategic finance, or a comparable analytical finance role, including hands-on work through a full budget and forecast cycle with close and variance analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills
- Advanced spreadsheet and financial modeling skills with a focus on formula cleanliness, auditability, and accuracy.
- Experience with enterprise planning tools (Pigment, Adaptive, Workday, etc.) and accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong grounding in accounting fundamentals, including accruals and the monthly close cycle.
- Familiarity with cloud cost or FinOps concepts to interpret reporting prepared by a technical team and question what looks off.
- Interest in applying AI, automation, and systems thinking to reduce manual effort in recurring finance work.
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and cycle deadlines without loss of accuracy.

- Ability to work across functions and distill detail into structured summaries leaders can act on.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting technical or G&A functions in a shared-services finance environment, where the internal team is the customer.
- Experience building automations or AI-assisted workflows within a Finance context—or the drive and resourcefulness to learn.
- Experience with BI tools, SQL, Python, Power Query, or other data querying and programming languages.

- US Tier 1 Locations: $102,000—$136,000 USD
- US Tier 2 Locations: $94,000—$125,000 USD
- US Tier 3 Locations: $87,000—$116,000 USD
