Overview
The organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Infrastructure Finance team. This role owns the financials for the infrastructure software space, including data management that supports infrastructure finance more broadly. You will partner with R&D, Data, and Product on financial planning, investment decisions, and business cases, and present the narrative to senior leaders.
Beyond software, the role manages the data and tooling across the infrastructure portfolio—covering hosting, hardware, software, and AI—to keep information accurate and available for forecasting, close, and other reporting and analytical processes. The position also drives efficiency improvements to reduce time to completion for existing workflows and supports the development of next-generation financial reporting deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D and Product to understand infrastructure software needs, priorities, and value, bringing financial rigor to decision-making
- Own forecasting and reporting cycles for the software space, including monthly variance analysis and operating reviews
- Build management reporting across infrastructure, including new views, dashboards, and sites that communicate the infrastructure finance investment story
- Manage the data and systems behind reporting to ensure financial information remains current and accurate
- Track cost drivers and unit economics to drive value-oriented spend management
- Surface new insights and build financial models to inform business decisions
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities in the software investment space clearly and early
- Use SQL, Python, and emerging AI tools to automate manual work and improve FP&A operations
Requirements
- Proven track record of driving significant impact in complex and ambiguous business situations
- R&D finance background working with engineering teams on general FP&A activities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical topics into concise, understandable terms
- Significant experience in financial modeling and strategic business planning
- Strong understanding of SQL and Python, including the ability to write complex queries, perform data extraction and manipulation, and maintain data integrity
- Enthusiasm for the R&D space, including experimenting with new tools and exploring innovative solutions
- Growth mindset and builder’s mentality, with a proven history of effective execution
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and navigate through change
- Track record of strong performance in data science, management consulting, investment banking, FP&A, or a related field
- Experience in tech, fintech, or other SaaS-based business models
- Demonstrated experience transforming or automating FP&A processes
