Overview

This role performs complex financial analysis involving company expenses, income, and other business results based on past, present, and future operations. The position also assists in evaluating information to support strategic direction for the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and report business and financial information at a corporate level; make recommendations and assist in establishing strategic direction.
  • Research, analyze, and report fluctuations in financial and business results to identify trends and research variances; recommend actions to improve performance and resolve issues.
  • Research, analyze, and report variances between actual results and budgeted amounts; advise management on potential cost impacts and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of company budgets and financial forecasts to support business plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate department expenses to identify trends and support cost control.
  • Recommend changes to streamline accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Prepare reports outlining the company’s financial position across income, expenses, and earnings to support financial decision-making.
  • Analyze and interpret financial reports and statistics; recommend actions to ensure sound business decisions.
  • Assist in the review and evaluation of performance evaluations to provide coaching and feedback.
  • Adapt to new developments in financial planning and control to ensure effective financial practices; recommend improvements to financial systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Six years of related financial analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct various types of analysis, including cost-benefit and alternative analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet applications and mainframe accounting systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines.
  • Strong business aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of financial and operational planning processes and best practices.
  • Strong work ethic and flexible work style.
  • Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex situations across the organizational landscape with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a decision-maker with balanced consideration of business issues.
  • Clean credit history as reported by credit report.
  • For roles that are remote (Work From Home (WFH)) or hybrid (partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in workforce planning, labor analytics, healthcare operations, or financial planning and analysis.
  • Advanced expertise with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel-based financial modeling.
  • Experience developing labor models, demand forecasts, and capacity planning solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead analytical teams and influence senior leaders through data-driven insights.
  • Experience in healthcare, provider operations, clinical staffing, or telehealth environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of labor budgeting, compensation modeling, and workforce optimization strategies.
  • Experience implementing scheduling and workforce management technologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma, analytics, or project management certifications are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $84,000.00 - $141,750.00
  • Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
  • The compensation package may include eligible bonuses and commissions.

  • Remote (Work From Home (WFH)) or hybrid (partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH) roles are available.
