Overview
The organization is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to support program leadership in driving operational performance and business decision-making. This role provides end-to-end financial oversight for assigned programs, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, earned value management, and long-range planning.
You will collaborate with program managers, operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to interpret financial data, identify trends, assess risks, and recommend actions to enhance program efficiency and profitability. The role also ensures financial compliance and supports audit and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects.
- Collect and analyze financial information for assigned accounts, products/product lines, or business units to track progress against financial goals.
- Report current or expected financial performance and create financial models to guide decision-making.
- Analyze cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to recommend actions or modifications to financial procedures, plans, and controls.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree and 5–7 years' experience, or Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education and/or Experience.
- Demonstrated in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
- Ability to solve complex problems and work independently with minimal guidance.
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Preferred discipline/major: Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical thinking skills and statistical knowledge.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Travel Requirements
- No or very little travel likely.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range (USD): $79,000–$115,000
- Additional Compensation: Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Gain Sharing Program.
