Overview

This role is for a senior analyst to serve as an embedded finance partner for a functional area end to end. You will be the finance contact business leaders rely on first—building and owning the models that drive headcount and spend decisions, and running a consistent monthly business rhythm with functional stakeholders.

You will be assigned to an area based on strengths and where the business needs the most support (support, G&A, or go-to-market). Prior experience in a specific function is not required; the key is the ability to learn how the business operates and translate that into analysis leaders can act on.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operating and capacity model for your area, including how headcount and spend scale with business drivers.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for assigned functions, including the narrative explaining variances.
  • Lead a monthly business review with functional leaders: what happened, why, and what it means for the rest of the year.
  • Conduct vendor and operating expense reviews to identify where leverage exists and where it does not.
  • Provide decision support between major planning cycles, including business cases, scenario work, and other ad hoc analyses for the quarter.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2 to 5 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, or a comparable analytical role (years are flexible if the substance is there).
  • Strong financial modeling skills and analytical judgment to recognize when an answer is incorrect.
  • Communication skills and confidence to work directly with functional leaders and contribute meaningfully to discussions.
  • Evidence of owning ambiguous problems without close day-to-day management.
  • Interest in automating repeatable parts of the role; familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems is a plus (the organization will help build these capabilities if you have the instinct but haven’t used them).
  • Meaningful overlap with Pacific time, since the team is on the West Coast.
  • Open to occasional travel for team and company onsite visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay depends on job-related factors including location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO.
  • Base salary hiring range (plus an equity grant):
    • For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey or Washington: $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus an equity grant.
    • For roles based in New York: $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus an equity grant.
