Overview

This role is for a Senior Analyst who serves as an embedded finance partner, owning a functional area end to end. You will be the finance partner that business leaders rely on first—building and owning the models that guide headcount and spend decisions, and running a consistent monthly business review rhythm.

This position will be assigned to an area based on strengths and where the business needs the most support (support, G&A, or go-to-market). Prior experience in a specific function is not required; the key is the ability to learn how a business operates and translate that into analysis leaders can act on.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operating and capacity model for your area, including how headcount and spend scale with business drivers.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for assigned functions, including narrative explanations for variances.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with functional leaders: what happened, why it happened, and what it means for the rest of the year.
  • Perform vendor and operating expense reviews, identifying where leverage exists and where it does not.
  • Provide decision support between planning cycles, including business cases, scenario work, and analyses leaders need for their quarterly questions.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2 to 5 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, or a comparable analytical role; years are flexible if the substance of experience is there.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and the analytical judgment to recognize when an answer is wrong.
  • Proven communication skills and presence to work directly with functional leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problems and own them without close management.
  • Experience building or automating repeatable job components; familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems is a plus (assistance will be provided to build skills if instinct is present but tools are not).
  • Meaningful overlap with Pacific time, since the team is based on the West Coast.
  • Open to occasional travel for team and company onsite visits.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay depends on factors including location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington: base salary hiring range is $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus an equity grant.
  • For roles based in New York: base salary hiring range is $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus an equity grant.

Location

Remote working from home is flexible if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, *IL, KS, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NC, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, & WA.
