Overview
This role leads finance workstreams across the full M&A lifecycle—from diligence through close and post-close integration. You will serve as a strategic finance partner, providing transaction advisory support, driving alignment across global Finance functions, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
The engagement spans finance diligence, deal execution, and integration program management, requiring strong judgment, problem-solving, and stakeholder agility.
Responsibilities
- Lead finance activities across acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic initiatives, including:
- Diligence
- Deal planning
- Close readiness
- Post-close execution
- Perform financial analysis and due diligence on targets, including historical and forecast performance, working capital, cash flow, and transaction fundamentals.
- Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and Legal teams to support decision-making and ensure finance readiness.
- Provide finance input on deal structures, purchase-price adjustments, funds-flow mechanics, escrows, and closing requirements.
- Convert diligence findings into actionable recommendations and integration roadmaps for leadership.
- Coordinate Day 1 finance operations across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Payroll, and Treasury functions.
- Develop and execute integration governance, milestone tracking, and risk-management processes to accelerate value realization.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardize M&A finance processes, tools, and templates across transactions.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience across M&A finance, transaction advisory, strategic finance, or corporate FP&A.
- Demonstrated success supporting transactions through financial diligence, modeling, and post-close integration.
- Strong analytical skills and business judgment, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects across multiple finance disciplines.
- Deep understanding of core finance processes (R2R, O2C, P2P, FP&A, Treasury, Tax).
- Highly effective communication skills; comfortable engaging senior leadership and multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Expertise negotiating deal-related financial terms (working-capital peg, cash requirements, purchase-price mechanics).
- Advanced proficiency with enterprise finance tools and reporting systems.
- Continuous improvement mindset, including experience enhancing finance governance and operating models.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, or other advanced credential preferred.
- Prior experience in technology, software, SaaS, or cloud-services environments beneficial.
