Overview
This is a fully remote role.
The organization operates in the financial management sector, with a focus on efficient and compliant accounts payable (AP) processes. The SENIOR MANAGER, ACCOUNTS PAYABLE leads the AP team and collaborates with international AP teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments. This role maintains internal controls, supports audit readiness, and drives system and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the U.S. Accounts Payable Team and provide training to international teams.
- Maintain AP policies, standard operating procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and oversight of team members.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and reimbursements.
- Monitor transaction activity and adjust team resources as needed.
- Collaborate with IT on automation and AP technology implementation.
- Manage ACH, wire transfers, and payment approval workflows.
- Review expense documentation for accuracy and proper coding.
- Support financial audits and preparation of financial statements.
- Administer the global corporate card program and monitor compliance.
- Oversee preparation of year-end tax reporting and ensure tax compliance.
- Support organizational goals related to culture and inclusion.
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum eight years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or related financial operations.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills across diverse teams.
- Experience managing automated AP systems and multicurrency transactions.
- Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Cultural competency and ability to work inclusively across backgrounds.
- Experience supervising staff and managing performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or professional certification.
- Nonprofit experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: 120,000 - 130,000 USD
