Overview
This role supports long-term planning and strategic decision-making for the organization’s leadership team. As a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance, you will be responsible for building and enhancing financial models, conducting market and competitive analyses, and translating analytical outputs into executive-ready recommendations. Reporting to the VP Head of Finance, this is a high-visibility individual contributor role working closely with the CFO, Finance leadership, and senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead valuation work, total addressable market (TAM) analyses, and market research; drive overall market analyses and competitive intelligence.
- Analyze current pricing and packaging models, including market pricing trends related to AI and consumption.
- Enhance and own the company’s long-range financial model by identifying key business and industry drivers and building dynamic models that help leadership evaluate strategic decisions quickly.
- Lead sensitivity analysis around macro factors relevant to the blockchain/crypto industry.
- Scale the model and build it into the organization’s planning tool.
- Create sophisticated financial models and drive scenario analyses that inform major capital allocation decisions, including M&A, partnerships, and new market entry.
- Synthesize scenario outputs into clear, executive-ready narratives and recommendations.
- Track post-investment performance against underwriting assumptions and feed learnings back into the planning process.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on high-stakes questions, focusing on long-term impact of near-term decisions.
- Partner with business teams to ensure strategic recommendations are operationally feasible and assist with implementation of operational changes resulting from strategic decisions.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong executive presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly present complex topics to a C-level audience.
- Investor mindset: ability to synthesize complex business dynamics into clear investment theses and risk-adjusted recommendations.
- Strong business intuition connecting financial outcomes to operational drivers.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and making high-quality decisions with incomplete information.
- Entrepreneurial orientation; willingness to help define and develop the strategic finance function.
- Excellent financial modeling skills, including working with large data sets in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience working at a SaaS, data, or technology company preferred.
- Familiarity with the blockchain, crypto, or Web3 industry is a strong plus but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Range: $124K - $237K
